Lilah is an intense child. She is passionate and emotional. She is funny and loves to hug! She is so intelligent and understands how things work. She has always been a talker and it is so fun to talk with her now. We can have real conversations and her little mind just spins and spins when she is thinking of something. She adores her little sister, but she still doesn't know how to be gentle.
There are many days where Lilah needs a hug. She is so self aware and knows when she needs a hug. She is quick to tears when things go wrong. These emotions are hard to manage. I just repeat often that she is intense. I am pretty certain Lilah gets intensity from me. I am pretty intense too.
I was telling Lilah the other day how she has gotten so big and how she used to be small enough to be in my belly. She looked at me with alarm and said "we don't eat people".
I enjoy watching her grow and change every day. I often wonder what she will be like when she grows up. I hope she will get a bit more of a thicker skin, but I hope she doesn't lose her passion!

Amelia at 21 Months
This little girl is such a ray of sunshine in our lives. She is so full of sweetness. There is something about her that you can see her sweet soul oozing out of her. She is a stubborn one and a fire cracker. She wants it her way and she wants it now! As a baby she didn't cry much. She is pretty laid back and generally a happy little girl.
Amelia is a tattle tale and it is pretty hilarious. She will reprimand her (older) sister if she is doing something she shouldn't she will just yell "LIYAHHH". This goes a little far though because she will blame her sister for everything most things have nothing to do with her sister, but she will blame her.
I am pretty sure her first sentence was "bye bye LiYah". They were sledding and she wanted a new driver so she booted her sister by saying bye bye Lilah! It was really funny. This was right around 17 months or so.
I think her vocabulary is pretty good. She is smart and can easily tell you what she wants. She doesn't have real conversations yet, but she will answer questions. She says things like "Mama's here" and "night night daddy". She loves the cats and chases them everywhere.
She is gentle and loving and loves babies. She will be a good babysitter some day!

My daughters are amazing!
I have completely neglected this blog. I need to keep it up so I have a history I can follow. I love being a Mom! I sometimes think that I am not good enough at it, but I do try to do my best. I laugh every day with my girls. They are funny and spunky and sassy! These are all traits I know well since I think I am the same. A day doesn't go by that I don't want to tell a story of something either of them said. Facebook makes it easy to do that, some may get annoyed hearing it. I will try my best to blog about some of these stories so I can remember them.

Amelia at 18 Months
Amelia is the sweetest baby ever. She has a sweet soul and just oozes with sweetness. I once said she is "full of sweetness with a touch of spice". It is so true! She is quick tempered and a spit fire, but a cuddler. She loves her Mommy. Which I admit I adore, even though at times it is hard to hold her all the time when we are in strange settings.
She was a late walker like her sister. She finally at just over 18 months walks most of the time. She still needs some help in this area to get to some "normal" with her peers.
She breastfed until just over 18 months too. The time was so special with her. She still likes morning and nighttime cuddles, so it isn't too bad.
She is a talker and is very smart. She has great verbal skills and amazing fine motor skills. She sometimes eats better with utensils than her sister does.
She loves baby dolls. She wants to feed them and dress them all the time. Lilah wasn't into dolls like Amelia is. She is so gentle with babies and still spends most days in the Baby room at school. She is a nurturer! I love that!
She loves her Lamby for sleeping too. She isn't a paci addict, but she does like it to calm her down when she is tired.
She is funny. And she thinks she is way funnier than she really is! She finds is hilarious to throw food and silly misbehave things. She will laugh and laugh. She has the funniest little giggle now too.
Separation Anxiety has always been her weakness. But with time she comes around with people. She loves to dance! She isn't into TV much, or sitting and listening to books. She sits and looks at books and flips the pages, but she just flips the pages or closes the book if you try reading to her.
She loves exploring and is pretty good at independent play.
She is a climber and is very brave. She will stand in chairs and think she is the queen of the world.
I love this special lady so much. I can't wait to see her grow up more.

Lilah at 3
I haven't kept this blog going, but I really should document some of the things they are doing so we can always remember.
So Lilah at 3 is very verbal. We can have conversations and she has a memory like a steel trap. She still doesn't have a concept of time. So everything is "last time". So last time could be 6 months ago or 5 minutes ago. It is funny to pass by the McDonald's and she says "that's old mcdonalds, I went there with my friends last time" (she went months ago as a treat in the summer with her day care peeps).
She is very stubborn and quick tempered (NO idea where she gets that! )
She is funny too. Today she wanted to scoot down the steps on her butt and was saying "look mommy I am scooting and my panties go up my butt" LOL
She is a sensitive child. She needs extra hugs and reassurance. This is difficult some times with the hustle and bustle of life. But we try.
She was potty trained just before turning 3 and did great, and was actually easy to train.
She finally decided to be paci free just before Christmas. She battled hard to the end, but one day decided she would be done and that was it.
She loves wearing dresses. I asked her why one day and she said "I like to be pretty". I have taken to asking her about being pretty vs smart. So I taught her that she should want to be smart before pretty. I hope she "gets this" some day! :)
She hates getting her hair brushed or done, she like the au natural look.
She loves her sister and has tried dearly to be patient as she grows old enough to finally play with.
She has really cool friends her are sharp and spunky, which in many of these cases the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, their Moms are cool too.
